Directions to Hacienda Del Alamo (HDA) from either Alicante or San Javier (Murcia) Airports.

- Take A7 (E15) motorway heading south from junction at airport. Ignore any signs for Murcia and follow signs for Cartagena. Stay on the A7 until Exit 800km (distance sign posts are included every km or so). From Alicante it is about 100km; from San Javier about 15kms.
- Take slip road at Exit 800, signposted to Murcia, Vera and Almeria.
- Take care to follow the signposts to Murcia.
- Stay on the new motorway for about 10kms, until you see an exit sign for Murcia and the A30 motorway.
- After joining the A30, take the first exit (only 1km) signposted “Santa Ana”. This exit winds down under the motorway and takes you towards Fuente Alamo on the MU602. You are about 20mins away from HDA.
- See signposts for Fuente Alamo and keep on the MU602 for 20kms. You will go past a huge Plastics factory on the left, which is unmissable. Continue and you will approach Fuente Alamo, which will have a signpost to turn left. IGNORE it and continue on MU602 for another 2-3 kms.
- You will then see the following signpost and an orange building standing in its own grounds on the right hand side. This maybe a crematorium and is called Tanatorio. Turn right here.
- Follow this not very good road straight for about 600 mtrs and at the unmarked junction, turn left, having seen Hacienda Del Alamo Golf signposted. Continue for a km or so along another not very well-made road and you will see a brand new blue bridge directly ahead of you. As you approach it, bear left (no other option) for 50mtrs. Turn right at the Stop sign. Go over the bridge.
- Continue for 400 mtrs and see Hacienda Resort on your right as you approach the roundabout.
- Approach security at entrance barrier waving acknowledgement like greeting familiar faces. Don’t bother winding your window down. You are about 3kms away from the villa.
- Continue straight down main road for 1km, going straight on at first roundabout (Commercial Centre on right), past speed bumps for another km, golf course on left and right, past Golf Clubhouse on left, more speed bumps. At next roundabout, turn right.
- Continue straight-ish for 1km to the end of the road. Houses on left and right; mountains in distance miles ahead. At end of road, park up on left in parking bay.
- Barbados 7 is the beige coloured house next to the blue house, and facing the mountains over open ground being constructed into an “Italian Garden”. Door is doubled locked, keep turning key anticlockwise to hear two sounds of bolts being released, then turn another 45 degrees to open.
